🧠 OPEN BRAIN DASHBOARD

The ground beneath your feet is constantly moving. Most of the time you can't feel it—but a network of seismographs, GPS stations, and AI systems can. On any given day, thousands of earthquakes shake the planet. A few of them matter for where you live. The Seismic tab on Pandita Data's Brain Dashboard tells you which ones, and why.

Whether you're in Istanbul, California, or Japan, knowing your city's seismic risk isn't paranoia—it's preparation. Real-time earthquake awareness, combined with AI-driven risk scoring, transforms raw seismic data into actionable intelligence for your home, workplace, and family safety plan.

THE SEISMIC TAB

Open the Seismic tab on the Brain Dashboard and you're looking at a live global map. Every earthquake with magnitude 4.5 or greater detected by USGS in the last 7 days appears as an interactive marker. Today, 1 significant event is visible globally. The highest magnitude recorded: M7.3—a major quake capable of widespread damage.

But the map is just the beginning. This tab reveals the full architecture of seismic risk intelligence.

City Seismic Scores
Every monitored city gets a 0–100 risk score. Istanbul, for example, sits atop a major fault zone. Search any city to see its current seismic exposure and historical earthquake frequency.

HOW TO READ THE MAP

Emoji size matters: Larger circles = higher magnitude. A pulsing white ring around a marker indicates it happened within the last 24 hours. Color coding follows the moment-magnitude scale—green for minor (4.5–5.4), yellow for light (5.5–6.0), orange for moderate (6.1–6.9), and red for strong (7.0+).

Zoom in on any region. Cluster detection helps you spot earthquake swarms—multiple quakes in tight proximity that might signal a larger event building. The Disaster Report provides city-specific analysis, including building vulnerability and historical context.

Customize your view: Set a magnitude threshold (e.g., show only M6.0+), draw a search radius around your city, or adjust the time window back to 30 days. Perfect for researchers, emergency managers, and citizens building situational awareness.

THE SEISMIC SIGNALS EXPLAINED

Pandita's AI doesn't guess. It weighs seven independent signals:

1
Seismicity Rate
Recent earthquake frequency. A sharp increase in small quakes can indicate stress loading on a fault.
2
Magnitude Distribution
The histogram shows if larger events are clustering—a potential precursor signal.
3
Proximity to Faults
